In the 1950's, pioneer and company founder Cecily Sostek began a professional nurse service to help mothers care for their newborn infants. Cecily’s service was well-received and she earned a loyal following. Many clients, who had benefited from Cecily’s services when their children were born, also called upon her again years later for help in caring for their aging parents or terminally ill family members. Clients would often ask, "Could you send someone to help with my parents just like the wonderful lady you sent us years ago to help with our baby?"
